I was watching the Challenge Cup semi-final between Warrington and Huddersfield at the weekend and although it was a great game of rugby league with some really impressive performances throughout, what really caught my eye was the following images I took of Tony Smiths half-time teamtalk.

Having looked at the images, can you work out what impressed me so much?

Look at how closely Ben Westwood is listening to his coaches’ instructions. There is absolutely no doubt he is hanging off his every word.

Tony Smith is undoubtedly a great coach with a proven track record, but none of his success can be achieved without the respect from the players he coaches, which is clearly evident in the pictures above.

I’m sure you will all agree it’s a great series of pictures and the changing room cameras give a great insight into what goes on at this level.

I’ll certainly be looking around in future to see if the people I work with are listening as intently!
