It used to be that businesses would get a sports person at the top of their game to give advice or a motivational speech on how their organisation could work better together, as a team and how managers could get the most out of their employees.
This still happens but is it now time for sports teams to look at those at the top of business?
Since business has understood the importance of creating a 'performance environment' they have spent tonnes of £££,££££,£££ researching human behaviour and have therefore found out more than those in sport already new intuitively.
There are many examples of how businesses create top performance environments and the best examples for sports teams to follow are forward thinking, innovative companies. Unless you want your team to perform like robots with a game-plan that requires little decision making, if so your better looking at how an efficient production line works!
So my point is....
Look around your changing room this season, although you may be an 'amateur' team, it is full of those with professional experience. Is their someone working for a top company that could help establish your teams performance environment?
Check out the video below and have your sports team and top performers in mind. Find out what your motivating factor is.
