Coaching technology specialist Coach Logic has partnered with Rugby Alberta to support the provincial governing body for Rugby in Alberta as it aspires to raise the sport to the next level.
Coach Logic provides sports teams with an easy-to-use online video feedback and communication platform. The system allows athletes and staff to upload, review and discuss match video as well as cater for aspects of team management and communication.
Coaches and players across Alberta will be able to use the system to support Rugby Alberta’s vision to become the leading province in Canada for player, coach and referee development. Coach Logic will facilitate collaboration across Alberta’s three pillars to enhance on-field play and development.
Graeme Moffat, Rugby Alberta’s Technical Director, is excited for the impact,
“We know that developing a strong foundation in the clubs and schools strengthens the game at provincial and International level. One of our priorities this year is to connect and support the clubs and we believe that this partnership shows our commitment to improving the club game.”
With players, able to utilise the platform from smart phones as well as computers, the ability to access feedback quickly is a big win, says Moffat.
“People have busy schedules. With the games and training so easily accessible to players and coaches, previews and reviews can occur before we get to the field, maximizing the time we have for training.”
Andy Muir, Director and a founder of Coach Logic says,
“Everyone at Coach Logic is delighted to be partnering with Rugby Alberta and supporting teams of the Alberta Cup and Women’s Premier Division for video analysis, sharing and collaboration in what is an exciting time as we seek to raise the profile of the game, and standard of coaching, playing and officiating in Alberta. We have been really enthused by the energy and drive coming from within Rugby Alberta, which is typified by the approaches of Denise Fisher, Executive Director and Graeme Moffat in his role as Technical Director. Rugby Alberta has a clear vision to raise performance and increase participation at all levels.”
